Siddhanta or Gyana Mahapatra is a film actor and a politican, who was born on 4 th May, 1966 in Odisha to Manmohan and Kanaklata Mahapatra. He studied from St. Vincent Convent School and D.D.College and IIM. His debut film was Sradhanjali in 1993. He is married to Mama Mishra and has a child. Some of his best works are Laxman Rakha, Ganga Jamuna, Dhauli Express etc. He had more than 150 films in his career. He joined Biju Janata Dal, 2009 and is the Member of Parliament of Berhampur since then. He won the 2014 election.
